MURMURATION, choreographed in 2016, features eight dancers costumed by designer Christine Darch. Set to the music of Gli uccelli (The Birds) composed by Ottorino Respighi, the dance features the dove, hen, nightingale, and cukoo. This piece is heavily inspired by the aerial ballet of the starlings that gather in flocks called murmurations.

Alison Cook Beatty Dance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dance company based in New York City. Founded in 2012,  the company is a classically-based modern dance company exploring the universal human condition through expansive and emotionally-driven movement grounded in American modern dance while exploring new approaches to finding unique creative expression.
