DESCRIPTION:Get ready for our annual Cherry Blossom Event!\nApril 27th at 12:30 pm. It is FREE to the public!\nThe company will be performing an excerpt of GRACE under the Sakura. Artistic Director Alison Cook-Beatty was inspired by the symbolism of the Cherry Blossoms when she choreographed the dance in 2014 – a symbolic flower of the spring\, a time of renewal\, and the fleeting nature of life. Japan presented New York with Yoshino cherry trees in 1912 as a symbol of friendship. With so much conflict happening in the world today\, let’s remember these petals of happiness. \nCompany members Ava Trochiano\, Ioanna Ioannides\, Jacob Blank\, and Maddie Burnett will also be dancing a structured improv to music by Japanese pianist and composer Naoko Hashimoto from her album Visions from the Piano.
