(646) 837-6809 Studio H/ Theater\n\nIn addition to performing compositions currently in the repertoire\, the Company will show “Echoes In Time” a Work In Progress that will premiere in Fall 2022.\n\n“From Concept to Production; in the RAW: An Evening with Alison Cook Beatty Dance” will begin at 7:30 PM with a reception of complimentary drinks. Artwork from friends\, such as Carol Davis’s sketches from our recent show of ARTISTS IN MOTION MINI\, costume designer sketches from Larissa Shirley King\, Alison’s choreographic journal entries\, and items that inspired these dances will be on display until 8 PM.\n\nThe program begins at 8 pm and will include an inside look at the concepts and methods in which the dances were crafted and also the tools that Alison used to create these works. In 2012\, Ms. Cook-Beatty founded ALISON COOK BEATTY DANCE\, a classically based modern dance company\, based in New York City\, whose mission is to create and share accessible and emotionally engaging dance for all. She has been commissioned by companies including Ballet Next\, Carolina Ballet Theatre\, The Joffrey Ballet School\, The Boston Conservatory of Music at Berklee\, Steffi Nossen School of Dance\, Columbia Ballet Collaborative\, New York University\, and Marymount Manhattan College. She was awarded the 2013 sjDANCEco Award for Artistic Merit. Artistic Director Alison Cook-Beatty was inspired by the symbolism of the Cherry Blossoms when she choreographed the dance in 2014 – a symbolic flower of the spring\, a time of renewal\, and the fleeting nature of life. Japan presented New York with Yoshino cherry trees in 1912 as a symbol of friendship. With so much conflict happening in the world today\, let’s remember these petals of happiness.\nCompany members Genaro Freire\, Madeline Kuhlke\, Ioanna Ioannides\, and Payton Primer will also be dancing a structured improv to music by Japanese pianist and composer Naoko Hashimoto from her album Visions from the Piano. Naoko gave her beautiful music to Alison as a gift from Japan; Alison and the dancers send their dance in return as a gift of thanks. \nBring a picnic  & please consider making a tax-deductible donation via PayPal or Zelle at acbdance@gmail.com to support our artists. \nDirection:\nFrom 5th Ave and E 84th St\, walk west into the park with the museum on your left\, walking up the walkway until you reach East Drive.
