Irninta Dwitika

Irninta Dwitika was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. Her love for dancing began when she was introduced by one of her teachers to Indonesian traditional dances. The experience inspired her to learn more about dance, so at the age of nine she began her ballet and jazz trainings at the Namarina Dance Academy in Indonesia. Irninta joined Namarina Youth Dance (the academy’s dance company) in 2012. She was awarded the ARAD (Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance) title for passing a Vocational Graded Examination at the RAD Advanced 2 level with Distinction.

At the same period, she graduated from the University of Indonesia with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, majoring in Information Systems.

In 2015, Irninta moved to New York City to further pursue her dance education by attending the Independent Study Program at The Ailey School where she received training in various styles of dance including ballet, modern, and West African.

She then continued her study at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, United Kingdom, to pursue her Master of Arts degree in Dance Performance, and became a member of Transitions Dance Company as part of the MA program. She toured with the company around UK and Europe, and performed the works of international choreographers including Hagit Yakira, Richard Chappell, and Jarkko Partanen.

Irninta started working as an intern with Alison Cook Beatty Dance in 2015 and she officially has been appointed as the website administrator in 2017.
